I finally did something!

My Etsy Shop is finally open!
Now I have a reason to make more repurposed and upcycled items than I can use on my own! I seem to be getting allot of views already. I have almost 150 views and I haven't been open for 12 hours yet. Maybe I can actually have my first sale by the end of the week.
I have even been keeping up with my Blog!
So in keeping with me doing so well in posting across all of my social platforms, I decided to update my journal here too.
Today I will be taking more pictures, posting more listings, and I might get around to making a few more smaller items.
I have been tying Celtic knots in my old guitar strings, and also coiling them into awesome bracelets and rings. I am not sure that the knots will sell without necklace chains or some other method of making them into more than just decorative knots.
I have also made some awesome looking paper cut-out pictures. I am not sure of the official name for it, but I need to find out before I list them.
I still have bukus of CDs to upcycle as well.
Hopefully I will have a chance to post more pictures here by the end of the day.

It has been forever...

I admit it, I neglect my DA journal...
I have stuff to put up, honest, but it is really just more pencil drawings. Anthros and elves mostly. I was getting decent with my tablet, but I there is just something about the feel of paper and pencil, I can't deny.
My latest interests include upcycling, repurposing, and BJDs... I have been spending shameful amounts of time on Pinterest and Etsy as of late, for inspiration on new things to try, and what I might market.
I have made pretty little boxes and butterflies from aluminum cans, I have collected old junk CDs to make some really cool sun catchers and lights from, and I have experimented with PET bottle sculptures. I have made ornaments, planters, and various this-and-thats that I find interesting.
I made a semi-BJD, and I love her because she is my first, but to tell you the truth, she isn't that pretty. She has a somewhat creepy-antique-geisha feel to her. I am thinking about finding some old material to make her a kimono and complete her vibe.
I am now making a more time-intensive actual BJD to cast, and so far I am satisfied with my progress.
All of this should be posted soon.

Getting it Back...

Well...
I can't believe that it has been so long since I journal posted...
My life has been changing rather drastically lately, and that means I don't get on the computer much at all anymore.
I have made it my priority to get back into shape, and get out of the house more. I have changed so much of my life so quickly, that how I was 4 weeks ago just doesn't seem like it was real.
I have completely changed my diet, and I joined a gym... I lost 18 pounds in the first 2 weeks!... and I am still losing weight!
I never was one to just sit around, but our household only had one vehicle, and my husband used it for work. I didn't realize it, but I was majorly depressed before I had the ability to get out of the house. I haven't felt so great in a long time.
So, I am working hard to undo the damage that sitting around the house for the last year and a half has caused. I hope to get back into shape in the next 6 months and join a couple sports teams... maybe dodge-ball or roller derby... softball or baseball... maybe a little of everything, I don't know.
I do know that it may be awhile before there is any significant activity here again, but I will try to post something every other week or so...

Hey anyone who reads this! 
Just wanted to explain why I haven't updated...
Since my scanner is such a little bitch, I haven't tried to overload it by adding all my old and new stuff. You see I am really into Gaia, and making avi art is about the only way I can bring myself to earn items and gold.
So, I save the scanner for that. I LOVE the variety of avis on Gaia, it is really inspiring to me to see what people come up with. Things even I probably would never think of. Since I really enjoy doing characters, it's my cup of tea.
One of these days I'll get a new scanner, and then I'll flood this profile.

Ok , maybe it's not me, it's my scanner...
I found my old ink sketchbook and I go to start scanning my stuff, and my scanner basically cusses me, gives me the finger and dies...
Ok, it didn't give me the finger, but it shocked me...
Turns out there is a short in the power supply somewhere.
Anyway, I finally got it working, and now I find I've misplaced my old sketchbook again. I know it has to be around closer than it was before, but I have been remodeling my house, so it may be another week before I have everything put back away. I just hope this stupid scanner will hold out that long.
